In part one of our three-part Teaching for Pregnancy series, you'll start with the essentials. In this first session, you’ll learn about the anatomy and physiological changes that occur during pregnancy, while also gaining insight into the emotional and physical needs of prenatal clients.
We’ll explore the key principles that underpin safe, supportive, and empowering movement, setting you up with the foundation to confidently work with pregnant members.
In session two you'll take your knowledge onto the mat. Building on the foundations, you’ll explore how to adapt traditional Mat Pilates repertoire for pregnancy, learn modifications that support different trimesters and individual needs, and gain confidence in programming classes that leave prenatal members feeling strong, supported, and cared for.
Finally, in session three you'll take your skills to the reformer. This session will show you how to adapt reformer repertoire with creativity and care, focusing on stability, strength, and mobility. You’ll walk away with fresh programming ideas, practical modifications, and the confidence to design reformer classes that nurture and empower pregnant members at every stage of their journey.
